When all the other boats have to head in because their fish holds are full, you can stay out longer and increase your catch because Plankton, a sturdy Sunnfjord 32 ft. Bristol Bay packs over 15,000 pounds of fish in 4 separate insulated fish tanks. It doesn t matter if you are gill netting, longlining or crabbing, the more you can haul the more money you make.

The cabin provides all you need for you and a hard-working crew. She can sleep 3 in separate berths in the forward cabin with a head and shower. A roomy settee provides a place for meals and break time. Meals are made in a U-shaped pocket galley designed for cooking on the move. It is equipped with classic Neptune combination stove and oven. Formica countertops, lots of cabinet storage, a stainless-steel sink supported by 20 gallons of fresh water with an additional 8 gallons of hot water completes the galley.

 On Deck:
Sunnfjord has a respected history of building solid workboats. Plankton has the added benefit of reinforced aluminum bow panels to take the worry out of contact with other boats. Working decks are covered with rugged non-slip for your crew safety. While she is built on a solid foundation for work, she is also well equipped for professional fishing. She has a Kolstrand Net reel mounted on a slide track for convenient access to your holds combined with a Maritime Fab power roller. For cleaning up a Jabsco wash down and overboard pump is available. Mast mounted lighting provides for safe working conditions into the night. For her ground tackle package, she employs a 33 lb. Delta with combination 3/8 in. galvanized chain and 5/8 in. Samson braid rode all controlled by a Kolstrand Hydraulic winch

 Engine and Mechanical:
She is powered by a single 210 Cat 3208 that can push her a long at 7 knots by 400 gallons of fuel. Steering is available both at the inside for inclement weather and on the flybridge when better visibility is needed. Her Hydraulic Bow thruster helps with close quarter handling. For the power needs of your equipment she comes with a Vickers 16 gal. off engine belt driven hydraulic pump that has easy access to her controls. There is a 4 cu. ft. and 6 cu. ft. hydraulic system with coupling drive.

 Electrical and Electronics:
AC power is provided by an Xantrax Pro 1800 inverter backed by 2 recently replaced 8D batteries. Her electronics package includes a Garmin 5415 chart plotter with a Furuno GP32 GPS back up as well as laptop software for charting. A Furuno Radar and a Com Nav 1001 autopilot adds safety and convenience. Her depth and fish finder capabilities employs a Garmin EchoMap 54D with an earlier generation Furuno 668. Communications use a Standard Horizon VHF and a CB radio
