WOODEN WONDER! Classic building materials grace Evolution, a 1953 Long Beach Marine Repair wood cruiser. At 52 feet with a nice beam of 14 feet, she is perfect for a live aboard, charter or craftsperson s refurbishing project.

 Interior:
The interior sports wood construction painted green with teak trim. The galley is located on the starboard side and is very roomy. There is plenty of space to update the appliances and countertops. A propane Coleman stove is available to heat up the morning s coffee. A Sanyo fridge holds the creamer. The large salon is perfect for arranging furniture to accommodate the chosen use for this vessel. The main head has a shower and sink with vanity. Teak around the large windows is a nice traditional touch. Enjoy hot water and heat; a Pacific oil heater in the salon and Force heater keeps every thing warm and dry. The large v-berth has a single over/under bunk and a single twin. The main helm has the classic curved windows popular in this style boat of this generation. Lots of character and space abound on Evolution.

 Engine and Mechanical:
A single Cummins 210 HP diesel engine with a range of 300 miles was installed in 2000. Three steel fuel tanks; a 105-gallon saddle tank and a 20-gallon day tank power the engine, Luggar auxiliary engine, and Northern Lights 6 kWh generator. The steering was refurbished in 2008. Safety alarms are installed on both helms and a remote Racor model 900 FE fuel filter is part of the mechanical package.

 Electrical and Electronics:
The helm is spacious and is perfect for adding additional electronics. Available now is an Icom IC-M55, and Furuno NavNet Plotter. New wiring in 2007 and 2011 insures safety. An additional helm is topside on the fly bridge. Enjoy the afternoon breezes while piloting Evolution to a new destination.

 Notes and Extras:
The large 6-foot by 10 foot cockpit area is perfect for fishing, camping gear and lounge chairs. Slide the starboard side door to access the expansive bow. A manual Wildcat/gypsy head anchor winch and two anchors as well as an impressive amount of chain and rode are perfect for extended cove stays. Painted a bright white, her mahogany hull is well maintained. She has a beautiful timeless design, with graceful but sturdy lines. This is a special boat filled with history. There really is nothing like a well built wooden boat that has been kept up, and Evolution is fully functional and is just on the cusp of being absolutely stellar. Give us a call to see all the possibilities this vessel has to offer, for she really is built to last.
