JUST REDUCED Shalomar, is a 1982 42' CHB Tri-Cabin trawler that stands out from the crowd because of her many recent upgrades, repairs, and maintenance from her knowledgeable owners. Firstly, all of her teak decks including the plywood below have been removed from the cockpit forward and the walk-around including the fore-deck. A 1" sheet of Core-Cell was glassed in with two layers covered with two layers of 24 ounce glass cloth and chopped strand matting. The outside finished surface was painted with non-skid. In addition, the teak over the house was removed and covered with 2 layers of 24 ounce glass cloth. Both fuel tanks were also removed and (4) new 125 Gallon port and starboard tanks were installed. Shalomar has in many ways had a complete refit with most vessel systems either been upgraded or replaced. If you are looking for a Tri-Cabin Trawler with everything done then give us a call to schedule a showing.

When you step inside you will be struck by how fresh Shalomar s classic teak interior is. This is not just because of her years of upkeep but because of her recently replaced upholstery, cushions and curtains. The main salon is bright, airy with enough room for you to socialize with all your friends and family. The u-shaped galley is situated so the cook can stay in the conversation yet has a protected domain from unwanted intruders. The galley offers everything a chef could want with a double sink surrounded with plenty of counter space, a 3 burner Princess stove & oven, the convenience of a bottom freezer/refrigerator, upgraded water filtration system. The owner has also installed additional storage cabinets to augment the already massive storage capability this trawler comes with. The entertainment center includes a Kenwood stereo supported by zone controlled speakers so you have your music where you want it. The owner is treated to the comfort of roomy master aft suite that has a walk around bed with an upgraded Tempur-pedic mattress. The cabin is surrounded by the nautical craftsmanship of Taiwanese teak closets and storage cabinets. The in suite head even has a bath tub. With the 250 gallons of water aboard you can actually enjoy this little luxury when cruising. And when it time to step out of your bath you will stay warm with her 45,000 BTU Espar M12 Forced hydronic air heating system. For your guest, they will enjoy their own cabin forward with a classic v berth and plenty of storage as well as a head of their own

 On Deck:
On deck one of the first things you may be surprised to find on a boat of this vintage is her low maintenance fiberglass decks that were recently added. Making your way around her well organized deck is a joy in Shalomar with her wide side decks and plenty of hand holds. On the forward deck you find a solid ground tackle package with a new 56lb Rocna and 250 of 5/16 chain all controlled by Plath wench. There is also a heavy duty Pot Puller and wash down pump to keep everything neat and clean. The fly bridge is a place to fall in love with. She is roomy, cushioned and has a full canvass and isinglass cover to keep the sun off in the summer and extend your boating season as it turns cold and damp in the fall or early spring. You will find the stern well organized and fully equipped with Magnum grill, fish cleaning stand and stern wash down. To complete her cruising package she has a 4 person West Marine inflatable dingy

 Engine and Mechanical:
When you step down into her well lit engine room you will find twin economical 120hp Lehman 271SE s that let her cruise at 7.5 mph burning only 2.5 gph. These are supported by a new dual Racor fuel filter system and (4) x 125 Gallon new aluminum fuel tanks that hold 500 gal of fuel. These tanks give her a range of 1800 miles. When it is time to dock her she handles like a breeze with the great maneuverability of twin engines and the added benefit of an Extern 300s Bow thruster.

 Electrical and Electronics:
Her electrical power comes from a 30 amp shore power package that has been recently upgraded with the new Smart plug and a galvanic 110 isolator. The battery bank was recently upgraded in 2014 with 2 new GRP-31 12V start batteries for each engine as well as 4 12 Volt GRP-31 house batteries. In 2015 remote electonic battery switches were also added that allows you to switch you batteries on and off from the helm station . When cruising she provides plenty of AC power with her Phazor 5.5 KW Generator. Multi Function Electronic packages are available at both lower and upper helm. At the lower helm she is equipped with an impressive package that includes a Raymarine multifunction displays, digital radar, depth finder, VHF, Laptop Nobeltech chart plotter, and a wind speed and direction display. You will always know the status of her engine room and aft deck by the recently added video cameras. The fly bridge is well equipped as well, plus her owner has taken the additional step of adding a communications telephone between the fly bridge and main cabin so you can stay in contact and alert crew of important orders like bringing more snacks to captain on watch.

 Notes and Extras:
Her bottom and zincs were serviced in 2015. With an inventory of spare parts and the many recent upgrades, Shalomar presents a unique opportunity to own a classic vintage trawler you can step aboard and enjoy for years without the burden of needed upgrades and repairs.
