NEW LISTING! 30' X 9'6" THUNDER JET TJ OFFSHORE. Rockfish was designed for the serious big water fisherman. The Thunder Jet TJ Offshore vessel is one of the most reliable and resilient boats on the market, designed for everything Alaska can throw at it. Her maroon trim and shapely silhouette is timeless; you ll be in love with this boat for years. This SportFIsher is the perfect blend of performance, functionality and durability wrapped up in 30 feet X 9'6" beam.

Large tinted windows offer privacy to Rockfish s interior while still letting in ample sunlight. The two largest windows slide open to let in the fresh summer sea air. Inside, Rockfish has everything needed for four people to spend a few days on the water. The thrifty galley has a single stainless steel sink, a Norcold refrigerator/freezer, and a unique Wallas stove that also doubles as a safe cabin heating source. There s plenty of counter space available for a microwave while still leaving enough room to be able to make up a pile of sandwiches. A bank of drawers stores away kitchen utensils and disposable dishes. Her 43-gallon water tank with six gallons of hot water storage provides ample on-demand water supply. For overnight stays, the easy-to-clean cushioned dinette converts to a double berth. Store extra blankets and pillows under the seats. A finished v-berth with cushions and head liner sleeps another two. The interior steering console and seat are both adjustable for comfort. Flip the dinette seat to the other direction to turn it into a forward-facing seat while underway, great for sensitive tummies. You ll find an excellent view over the bow through the forward sloping three-piece windshield with wipers. Several built-in beverage holders will keep drinks in their containers and not on the floor. Rounding out the interior is a Tecma head with a comfortable marine toilet, a shower and privacy curtain.

 On Deck:
Come aboard Rockfish via the swim platform and accessible transom door with plenty of railing. Her oversize stern deck has plenty of elbow room for dealing with flopping fish and excited fishermen. Welded aluminum cockpit toe rails on both sides let the fishermen lock in while fighting the big one. Thunder Jets are known for having nice, high gunnels, a great safety feature if youngsters are on board. A half cockpit cover keeps the sun and rain off the cabin door and the outside cockpit helm. Three in-floor fish lockers with macerator and pump-out keep catch freshly stored in clean boxes. A saltwater wash down pump with cockpit hose bib sprays away debris. A couple of rod holders are installed or stow unused rods in the 8-rod rocket launcher atop her cabin roof. When you need it, the 20-pound Danforth anchor and electric Lone Star winch and 500 feet of line will keep you safely moored. The welded cabin top with roof drains has a huge amount of rooftop space for extra gear or an inflatable dinghy.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Powered by twin 175 horsepower Suzuki outboard motors attached to a welded external motor bracket, Rockfish can be a speedy day-tripper with her top speed of 40 knots. A 25 knot cruising speed with 160-gallons of fuel gives her a 250 mile range. At just 535 and 457 hours, these engines have been nicely warmed up and have plenty of cruising years in them. Two start-up batteries keep things powered up and ready to go.

 Electrical and Electronics:
Rockfish is equipped with two helms, one interior and one exterior for maximum maneuvering. She has a Raymarine GPS, plotter, radar, depth sounder and VHF system. The electric Contest compass will give you deftly accurate information about where you are and where you are going. At the dock, the 30-amp shore power connection makes staying overnight a breeze.

 Notes and Extras:
Thunder Jets are known for their guaranteed quality, impeccable welding, and for being a superior product and the TJ Offshore was designed for rugged coastal northwest waters. Rockfish features a very nice layout with a spacious cabin and a generous aft deck. Her superb seaworthiness is sure to please even the most demanding owner. She comes with a very nice two-axle 2007 Tricker Trailer (GVW 12,000) with a galvanized frame and a spare tire and mount. An all-around complete package, Rockfish is a great weekend or day trip vessel that is as comfortable and practical as she is enjoyable.
