VERY CLEAN, INSIDE AND OUT! This roomy tri-cabin Tolly has been very well maintained and has everything you need in a long term live aboard, extended vacation cruiser, or weekend fisher. This Tolly model remains one of the most desirable aft-cabin cruisers to be found on the market today. A lot of living space is packed inside this 40-footer and her large salon windows provide plenty of natural lighting. Visibility from the lower helm is excellent. The popularity of this model means she won t be available for very long.

Perseus features a conservative design with a straight-forward double-cabin interior with the galley in the salon. Enter her through an aft door and down a few steps and you ll find yourself in the main salon with its warm golden teak interior and carpeted flooring (over wood). A large cushy L-shaped settee with a sizable table in the center provides comfortable seating for several passengers and converts to a double berth at night. A simple reupholstering of the cushions and a couple new accent pillows will transform the entire main salon into an area that is just your style. The expansive port side galley is a nice feature of this vessel with a propane range with hood, an apartment-sized refrigerator, an under-cabinet mounted microwave, and a double stainless steel sink with pressure water. Your water supply is generous with 100 gallons of water, 11 gallons of hot water, and a holding tank capacity of 35 gallons. There is plenty of counter space for a toaster or another favorite appliance with room to spare. The galley also features ample storage options, so your cooking area will remain a tidy area. You will also find the inside helm in the main salon, as well as two deck access doors. A couple of steps down into the bow is a sleeping cabin with a huge v-berth with closet and cabinet storage. A powder located off the v-berth is one of two heads on this vessel. From the salon, go down a few steps in the stern and you will come into the main stateroom with a full size bed and generous standing room. There is a great number of storage options here, including a hanging locker and numerous drawers that are perfect for storing fishing accessories, if you don t plan to use it for clothes. A 27-inch flat screen TV is perched above the drawers. Take out the bed and this room could also make an excellent office. Access another head from this room, which has a generous separate shower and lots of counter space and storage. Plenty of windows throughout the interior of Perseus let in sunlight when you want it, and plenty of window coverings offer privacy when you need it. A forced air diesel furnace with electric registers will keep everyone warm at night. Having three distinct, well-appointed living areas helps create a spacious feeling to the interior.

 On Deck:
This Tollycraft has a lot of uncluttered deck space for a vessel of her size. Those with young children will appreciate the safety of the deck s high sides. As a live-aboard, this area would be a great space for a small container garden or a convenient place to keep a couple of bicycles. For fishing, the rod holder next to a fillet table comes in very handy. Tethered to a 12v steel dinghy davit is a Coleman inflatable dinghy. Up a small angled ladder with high handrails is the amidships deck where you ll find an inflatable life raft capsule, a weatherproof storage box on starboard, two comfortable revolving fishing chairs, and stainless Dickinson marine barbecue. Kayakers will find this a perfect place to store a couple of sea kayaks. The spacious deck continues up a couple of steps from there onto the fly-bridge. A raised captain s chair is poised in the direct center of this impressive bird s-eye helm. Two two-seater built in deck chairs with storage underneath can be stretched out to make a great couple of sun beds. A chest freezer is located on this deck, along with the kicker for the dinghy. A full canvass flybridge enclosure with a glass panel with electric wiper means you can navigate through spitty weather with a clear view while staying warm and dry.

 Engine and Mechanical:
The original two 1977 210 horsepower Cat 3208 diesel engines push Perseus through the water. Diesel engines have a longer life than regular gas engines, so with 2,500 hours on each engine, they still have plenty of run time on them. With a cruise speed of 9 knots at 1,800 rpm, a top speed of 12 knots, eight gallons of fuel usage per hour, and four 100-gallon fuel tanks, you have a traveling range of a nice 400 miles. Hydraulic steering with Morse controls is at both helms. A Northern Lights 5 diesel heat exchanger gen set with 204 hours will keep things charged up. The 35-pound Danforth anchor hooked on by 350-feet of galvanized chain and three-strand nylon line hooked up to an electric Lewmar winch makes bedding down for the night in your favorite cove a breeze.

 Electrical and Electronics:
Perseus comes with some great electronics, including: a Garmin 178C GPS; Robertson AP-40 auto pilot; two radars, Furuno and Arritsu; two VHFs, West Marine and Standard; two depth sounders, Echotec and Garmin; a Dell laptop with Nobeltec charting software; Bennet hydraulic trim taps; a three-inch Ritchie compass; two engine synchronizer; and a remote search light. Electric wipers will keep your vision clear when operating from the interior helm. Listen to your favorite music on the Sony CD player stereo system as you cruise along. At the dock, plug into the 30-amp shore power for electrical usage.
