GOOD, SOLID DIESEL BOAT! Grubstake was used by a successful charter company. With her the roomy aft deck, she makes a great starter charter fishing boat at a reasonable price. She has been stored in covered storage every winter and has been well-maintained, with maintenance records available. A copy of the survey performed in July 2016 is available; her bottom was done about the same time. You shouldn t pass up this steal of a deal!

Most of Grubstake s length has been devoted to her deck, but she still has what you need of her interior space. A sliding weather tight door separates the deck from the cabin. A head with privacy curtain is conveniently located just inside the door for quick access. A pull-down seat cushion quickly transforms this space into additional seating. Beyond the head a comfortable pneumatic helm chair. The helm is large with great visibility and plenty of room for additional gadgets. A side windows on starboard and port open to let in a nice breeze. A v-berth provides enough sleeping space for two, if you need it, or makes an excellent storage area for large or bulky items. The port side of the cabin is dedicated to bench seating for your passengers. Beautiful teak flooring creates a wonderful cabin ambiance. Carpeted walls help reduce engine vibrations. In the colder months, Red Dot engine heat keeps the cabin warm.

 On Deck:
The large deck is built with fishing in mind. Aluminum railing along her gunnels adds extra security for your passengers while they fight those powerful fish. Pole holders dotted along the railing let you rest your hands from time to time. A large fish hold with a 12v macerator discharge pump is located in the center of the deck. It also holds a build in tackle compartment and rod storage tubes. The top of the tackle area doubles as a fillet table. The fish hold makes a nice quick seating area for tired legs and backs. Easy clean-up is done with the Shur Flo 12v deck washdown pump and hose.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Grubstake is powered by a 1994 diesel 230 horsepower Volvo KAD-43 engine with a scant 3,000 hours on it. It was rebuilt some years ago and has run 800 hours since then. She cruises at a zippy 21 knots, which is mid-range for boats in this category, and holds 140 gallons of fuel. Bennett hydro-electric trim tabs evens her plane. When you need to anchor, she comes with a 22-pound plow-style anchor and 660 feet of chain and line.

 Electrical and Electronics:
The helm has what you need for a successful trip on the water, including a Lowrance GPS, Garmin 182 GPS and LCD receiver plotter, Ratheon Pathfinder SL-72 radar, Standard Horizon with a second deck unit, and a Lowrance LCX-104 depth sounder. A ceiling-mounted fan keeps the captain cool and helps keep windshield condensation at bay. Three electric windshield wipers keep visibility clear through rain and snow. She also comes with an ACR Cat 1 hydro static Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) for added safety.

 Notes and Extras:
Grubstake is in top shape and comes with her own wheels -- a 1989 two-axle EZ Loader trailer with rollers and guides and an Achilles 9.5-foot dinghy. Call now to see her!
