Just Reduced to $72,000! Tarrock III is a 1991 32' Cutter Rigged Island Packet 32 with a classic design that is graceful under sail and handles ugly weather like it is all in a day s work. She is the kind of solid long ranger cruisers that sailors have depended on to keep them safe while traveling the oceans of the globe. Islands Packets uses hand laid solid fiberglass hulls that integrate a full keel to give them stability and solid feel in weather. For a compact 32 vessel she provides a surprising amount of room both on deck and in the living quarters below because she carries her over 11 beam far forward.

Only a few easy steps down from the cockpit you will find a warm, spacious, classic interior that is very livable no matter if you are at the dock or making a crossing. Teak and holly floor, curtains, classic upholstery, bright stainless steel ports have held up well and need little if any attention. Centrally located and convenient to both the cockpit and the main salon is a highly functional U-shaped galley with a double sink, gimballed Hiller propane stove/oven combination and an expansive cold plate refrigeration chest that is not so deep you can never reach the bottom. This is all within reach so meals can be prepared without undue drama during a crossing. She even has a clever fold out extension to add counter space just in forward of the sink. 85 gallons of fresh water add to her cruising comforts. The main salon provides a comfortable place to relax or entertain guest. She features comfortable bench seating both port and starboard so you each have your own couch to spread out on or a an inviting place for guest to enjoy and share cruising adventures. There is a large drop down table that safely locks glasses and other items away when folded up and down provides space for large group to enjoy a meal together. When it s time to turn in, she provides two legitimate staterooms, a comfortable forward V-Berth and an aft quarter berth that serves for the occasional guest or as an invaluable walk in closet for the live-aboards. You will find hanging lockers and addition storage throughout the boat. For your personal needs, she offers an easy clean wet head outfitted with a Y-Valve equipped toilet and 15 gal holding tank.

 On Deck:
Tarrock III features a tried and true cutter rig that has been completely updated with new standing rigging in 2015 and a new set of Mack sails that include, main, jib and stay sail in 2016. This package should last another 20 years. Sail management is a breeze with winches within easy reach of the helm and her main sheet track located forward on the cabin top so it does not interfere with the crew in the cockpit. The helm seat is curved for comfort and slightly raised for great visibility. The cockpit seats are long enough to stretch out on for a little nap and contoured for comfortable seating when enjoying the view. Moving forward you will find molded bulwarks, double lifelines and a full length teak grab-rails on the cabin trunk for safety. The anchor package is robust and designed for cruising with twin anchor rollers and a ground tackle package that includes the highly respected 33 lb. Rocna with a Bruce for back up. Her anchor rode combines 50 ft. of chain and an incredible 500 ft. of line, all is conveniently controlled by an Anchorman 700 winch.

 Engine and Mechanical:
For a sail boat, she provides surprisingly easy access to her quiet 26HP Yanmar. This diesel sipping power plant has only 1200 hours and will let you cruise at 5.5-6 knots while only using .75 gal/hr. A 28-gallon tank can easily provide over 200 miles of motoring range when the winds die down.

 Electrical and Electronics:
30-amp service with a Blue Sea custom charger keeps her starter battery and dual battery house bank charged and ready to go at the dock while her Yanmar alternator keep everything topped up when on the move. For Navigation, her electronics package is built around a Garmin 3006C GPS/Plotter with integrated radar and depth sounder. A Standard Horizon VHF is there for communications. She also has a Raymarine autopilot but it is need of repair. A binnacle mount compass and a barometer round out your cruising tools

 Notes and Extras:
For off shore cruising safety, she has the added value of a New Wave 6 person life raft. Mack New sails in 2016 including a new main, jib, and stay sail. The stainless steel standing rigging was also replaced in 2015. She has been well taken care of an offers the classic cruising and live aboard comforts that have satisfied serious sailors for years. She is the kind of boat that stands the test of time and holds her value well.
