This 2000 Commander 30 built here in the Pacific Northwest has become a highly sought after vessel because of her build quality and her surprising versatility. Her comfortable trawler style cruising accommodations, cockpit space for fishing or crabbing, a flybridge helm to enjoy those sunny days plus an inside helm when the weather turns ugly all powered by twin Volvo s that provide both the speed and maneuverability of an outboard powered sport fisher give her owner little to call a compromise.

Stepping inside you find a warm inviting place to spend your evenings or rainy days. She is kept warm and dry by a thermostatic controlled forced diesel furnace. Carpeting, curtains accented by the nautical touches of teak give you a feeling more like home than in a boat. The head is located just inside the cockpit door so it is accessible to both the main salon and the cockpit. Most NW cruisers see this as a must to keep dripping wet crew from getting the salon all wet when rushing to the head. With 70 gallons of fresh water and a 6-gallon hot water tank and plenty of room in the head you can enjoy the luxury of a hot shower after a cold day of crabbing. Just forward is a comfortable settee to relax on and read a book. It makes for a single berth if necessary. Forward is a well laid out helm with a great visibility. So your crew can enjoy the trip with you there is a roomy navigators bench big enough for two just starboard of the helm. With its own table and drink holders you will both enjoy your time getting there. The navigators seat can cleverly fold forward to convert to a forward seat on the settee for 4. At night, the settee can also convert to a double berth to accommodate more visitors. The galley is also located just behind the settee with easy access to back deck happy our appetizers or with a clever pass through to move dinner from the galley to the settee. The chef will love the galley with plenty of storage, and counter-space to work. It is equipped with everything you need like a 3 burner Atwood Stove and oven, a Nova Kool refrigerator and a sink all located within arm s reach of each other. As night approaches, you will find a comfortable and cozy v-berth forward. A clever design lets the two cushions that fill out the v-berth convert to a dressing chair. A nice little luxury on any boat.

 On Deck:
The aft deck offers plenty of room for fishing, crabbing or just enjoying a comfortable happy hour. Equipped with two Scottie down riggers you will have plenty of fish for the fish holds. She is surrounded by storage for all your gear, and with a huge engine access panel you have plenty of room to service your engines without disturbing tearing up the inside of the boat like many trawlers. The convenience of a transom door make access to the swim step and boarding civilized affair. The way she is laid out getting to her fly bridge is only a few steps away unlike many fly bridge ladders that make you feel like you are climbing a water tower. Once up there you have a great 360 degree view to keep an eye on all that surrounds you and everyone on board. The low height fly bridge also reduces some of the windage found on other boats that make docking a challenge on windy day.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Her Twin 260hp Volvo s have only 1200 hrs. and with her Bennett Hydro-Electric trim tabs she will cruise comfortably at 20 knots. If you need to outrun a storm you can easily push her up to a remarkable 38 knots. Her twin engines with the Duo Prop outdrive provide the kind of speed and maneuverability of outboard but with all the economy of diesels. With 190 gallons of diesel you have plenty of range.

 Electrical and Electronics:
For AC power, she is equipped with standard 30-amp service. Her two starter batteries, and house bank with two more batteries are kept charged by a well-respected Ample Power Smart charger at the dock. When on the move, a Pro-sine inverter provides AC power without the need for a generator. Her electronics package is complete with a Raytheon chart plotter, Pathfinder R70 Radar and a Raytheon L750 fish finder/sounder.

 Notes and Extras:
You will find this boat well taken care of by her current owner. She well equipped and comes with the layout and features that attract both the cruiser and the sport fishing enthusiast. If you next boat requires something to please everyone she mat just fit the bill. Check out a great article on this model.
