The Halifax is designed to open up the deckhouse. The accommodation areas provide spacious cruising and/or living aboard options. With a settee on the port side, elevated for better visibility, the passenger is treated to a much better view when underway. This seat has a fold out section that converts to a generous berth. The settee features a clever teak dining table on an articulating arm to provide both dining space and extra counter space. This also re-locates to the transom cushioned bench seat for an additional dining table on nice evenings in the cockpit. The galley to starboard features a large refrigerator, two burner stove and deep stainless steel sink. Forty gallons of water and six gallons of hot water serve your on-board water needs nicely. The interior arrangement allows for a wide center walkway, so crew or guests can move about easily inside. For your tall guests, there is a generous six foot, five inches of cabin headroom. The helm and control center provides generous space for navigation and electronics, with maximum all around visibility through large windows. Traditional pilot doors offer access to the foredeck, ventilation and make for easy docking. In the bow are located a v-berth and head with an opening, screened port. The main cabin is surrounded by tempered safety glass windows offering excellent visibility in all directions, including sliding windows with screens and an opening center windshield. The interior finish is keeping with the no maintenance construction and the beige finish is warmly accented by teak moldings and trim, providing quite a pleasant and bright atmosphere.

 On Deck:
The Downeast hull incorporates a combination of the best features of many East Coast designs. The center keel provides extreme stability while the straight flat run aft ensures a good turn of speed with outstanding economy. The full bow sections provide excellent performance in a head sea, while modification to the fore foot keeps the boat on track while negotiating a following or quartering sea. The RF-246 has been especially designed to allow for the modern benefits of outboard power as well as easy trailerability and usability. Wide walk around decks and roofs with non-skid surfaces provide safe, enjoyable boating whether you are 30 miles at sea, hugging the coastline, or cruising along your favorite passageways. The hull is constructed of 100% positive floatation, so you should feel safe no matter your route. She carries 120 gallons of fuel for those long journeys. This boat model has all sorts of deck options you can choose from to make her uniquely yours. Some popular options include a solid roof extension over the cockpit, dockside water hookup, cockpit shower, rod holders, transom door and more.
