CLASSIC BEAUTY, LOTS OF REFINISHES, LARGE SUNDECK! A true yacht aficionado is sure to recognize the elegant and distinctive lines of this beautiful pleasure craft before even hearing her maker s name: Stephens Bros. Wind Barker is one of the coveted custom beauties still cruising the oceans blue today. Launched in 1970, Wind Barker is a later model from Stephens Bros., which means she has an aluminum hull. This increases her durability and reduces the amount of upkeep her older wooden siblings need while she still flashes the classic style that Stephens Bros. boats are known for.

Entry to the bright and airy main salon is from the aft sundeck or either side deck via the pilothouse side doors. She has been nicely refreshed with new carpet, drapes and new upholstery on her two plush sofas. The wood interior trim really warms up the space and the end table with table lamp, two built in book cases and a dining table and chairs add a home-like touch. The large mounted flat screen TV makes this the perfect movie room on those rainy evenings. Access to the owner s stateroom and en suite is via the aft starboard staircase. A queen walk-around bed is centerline in the room. This stateroom really has it all, including two large closets, four ports and opening hatches, a wall-mounted flat screen TV and a door leading to the aft cockpit. Three dressers and the under bed storage is made from the same beautiful wood as seen upstairs. The upgraded en suite features new tile floors, a separate tub/shower stall and a new Jabsco electric quiet flush toilet. Two identical guest staterooms are located forward of the master to port and starboard which share an updated head. Each have two twin beds with inserts to convert to queen size, as well as lots of storage, new carpet and handing lockers. This vessel has crew quarters, which are accessed from the pilot house down a starboard stairway to the lower forward area of Wind Barker. The captain s cabin is on starboard with a head across the hall. The crew dinette with new upholstery is behind the updated head. It s equipped with a new refrigerator, as well as a TV and DVD player. Crew quarters are located in the v-berth area. Each cabin has drawer storage and a hanging locker. The family and crew quarters are separated by the mid-ship standup engine room/machinery space where you ll also find a Kenmore washer/dryer! Back upstairs, the galley is located forward of the main salon to port and has new tile floors. You ll find all the tools you need for life on the water, including a Whirlpool four-burner electric stove with oven, a GE microwave, GE double door refrigerator with ice maker, whirlpool dishwasher, stainless steel double sink and plenty of counter and cabinet space. Your water supply will be ample. Wind Barker carries 1,240 gallons, has a 30 gallon hot water tank, a water filtration system, and a 135-gallon holding tank. In the pilothouse, the beautiful wood dash and new white upholstery on the bench seat and centerline pilot chair really gives this area a royal feeling. Whatever season it is, the interior accommodations of Wind Barker will be comfortable, whether you need to turn on the heat or the air conditioning.

 On Deck:
With so many outdoor space options and features, there are plenty of ways to enjoy boating life on Wind Barker. Her large cockpit is a great deck to sunbathe on, dive off or fish from. High, wide gunnels keep everyone aboard and provide great places for arms to rest while enjoying the scenery. A centerline teak fighting chair is a great spot from which to reel in that extra feisty catch. If you are an underwater diver, extend your day by refilling your air tanks with the on-board dive compressor. Coming out of the water is easy with the swim platform and boarding ladder. Got some engine-powered water toys? She s got two built-in 100-gallon utility fuel tanks for refueling those toys without needing to head to the fueling marina. Seven built-in storage lockers on this deck, along with a raw water deck wash down system, keeps this deck clean and clutter-free. Up a short set of stairs takes you to an expansive hardtop covered deck with fold-away table, port and starboard settees with new cushions, a large stainless barbecue, wet bar with ice maker and sub-zero ice maker. This is where the party continues into the evening after a full day of play. During the cooler weather, you can still utilize this space by putting up her new canvass enclosure. From this area, wing doors on port and starboard lead to teak side decks and to the pilothouse doors and the forward deck area. A forward seating area with new cushions is the picture perfect place to lounge on a sunny day and watch the world slip by while sipping a sparkling glass of fruity chardonnay.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Twin 475 horsepower Detroit 12V-71 NA 2-cycle inboard diesel engines power this girl through the water. With only 2,000 and 4,000 hours on these engines, there is plenty of cruising life left in them. The current owner reports these engines run clean and strong. Wind Barker cruises at a graceful 10 knots at 1,800 rpm and with a fuel usage of 20 gallons per hour. She has a maximum speed of 13 knots. Her 3,150 gallons of fuel capacity gives you many days of cruising time before refueling. Her engine room has a fire suppression system and smoke detectors below decks will keep you and your passengers safe while underway, day or night.

 Electrical and Electronics:
Wind Barker comes with all sorts of electronics and electrical goodies. Navigation and communications equipment include: Icom M700 VHF radio, Icom M45 VHF radio, Furuno 72-mile color radar, Furuno FCV-582 color video sounder, Northstar 800 Loran, Northstar 951 GPS and plotter, Furuno weather fax, Robertson AP100 autopilot and a Raytheon loud hailer. She also has a remote controlled spotlight and air horns for added safety. She has most of the electrical features you will need or want in a vessel this size, including 50 amp 220v AC shore power, Trace 3000 watt inverter, Heart inverter, battery charger, Kohler 15kw 220v generator, 110v AC/12v DC bonding system and more.

 Notes and Extras:
This package also comes with two Givens eight-person canister life rafts, VOSPAR stabilizers, a CARIBE 14-foot RIB shore boat with a 25 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine. A Marquip electric davit loads and unloads the shore boat. There are so many fabulous features to this cruiser that we really could write a book. In 2012, she got her cabin roof refinished, new zincs, her bottom repainted and her props and shafts turned. She has three surveys with ultrasounds available for you to review as well, the most recent from July 2012. You ll find that Wind Barker is well kept and in sublime shape and is a great deal on a very cool larger boat. Stephen Bros. boats are highly prized as collector s items.
