If the high price of fuel has you thinking about abandoning your cruising plans, you may want to take a look at this versatile compact cruiser. The RF-246 Halifax offers one of the best combinations of handling, livability, portability and equipment options of any boat. Large walk around decks and roofs with non-skid surfaces provide safe, enjoyable boating. The center keel provides extreme stability while the straight flat run aft ensures a good turn of speed economically. The full bow sections and shallow fore foot allow for both soft entry, comfortable bearing up while heading into or running with the seas. The RF-246 has been especially designed to allow for the modern benefits of both outboards and sterndrive power, as well as easy trailerability and usability. Price listed is for the base unit. The Halifax is designed to open up the deckhouse. With a settee on the port side, elevated for better visibility, the passenger is treated to a great view when underway. This seat has a fold out section that converts to a generous berth for one adult or two children. The settee features a clever teak dining table on an articulating arm to provide both dining space and extra counter space. This also re-locates to the aft seat for an additional dining table on nice evenings in the cockpit. The galley to starboard still features the large refrigerator, two burner stove and deep stainless steel sink. The arrangement allows for a wide center walkway, so passengers can move about easily inside. The helm and control center offers adequate areas for navigation and electronics, with maximum all around visibility through large screened siding windows, and easy accessibility to the deck, through the traditional pilot doors. In the bow is a v-berth that is six feet wide at the shoulders and 6 6 long and accommodates two adults. Filler cushions come standard, as does the marine toilet, screened opening port holes and the screened skylight hatch. Add a shower and shelf sink to make the head a full service lavatory. The interior layout of the Halifax is simple, functional and takes advantage of every available nook and cranny. Bright and airy and completely comfortable, you will fall in love with her as she takes you on new adventures.

 On Deck:
There are a great number of standard features to the deck on the Halifax, including the most noticeable transom bench seat with cushion. This provides your guests with a wonderful outdoor spot from which to enjoy the cruise. Deck standards also include an outboard bracket with swim platform, composite hand rails on top and cabin, non-skid self-bailing decks and twin electric wipers. One of the most popular options is adding the extended hardtop over the aft deck, which permits dinghy storage on the roof. You can also add a bow thruster for easier docking. Add some rod holders, a cockpit shower and a raw water washdown and turn this into more of a work boat. The list of options is long and allows you to fine-tune a boat expressly for your needs.
