QUEEN BED, GREATLY UPDATED IN 2010, ECONOMICAL. Big Easy is a wonderful representative of a vintage trawler yacht. She has been very well maintained and has oodles of great features which really make her a wonderful home on the water. She is economical to operate and will make a great cruiser for that couple or family who wants to enjoy sightseeing from a very comfortable and personal setting.

There are two sliding door entrances into the main cabin on Big Easy. One is on the port side behind the dinette, the other is starboard directly next to the inside main helm. Coming in through the port side door, look straight ahead toward the expansive galley, which is outfitted with a three-burner Magic Chef stove/oven combo, Norcold AC/DC refrigerator, newer Emerson microwave, and plenty of drawers, cabinets and storage trays. The lovely green laminate countertop nicely coordinates with the ocean color radiating through the large galley windows. To your right is the Newport Dickenson stove. Set in its own home-like tile corner, the tiles act as heat reflectors, keeping the warmth nicely circulating throughout the vessel s interior. Below the stove is a nice storage cabinet for dry foods or other gear. Beyond the stove, down a few steps into the stern, is the main stateroom with a large queen size bed, a hanging locker, and many other storage options. Above the locker is space enough for a TV set, if you want one in the bedroom. Two half-windows let in natural light and the escape/ventilation hatch in the ceiling was replaced in 2010. One of the two vessel heads is adjacent to the stateroom and has a stand-up shower with curtain, a sink, potty with knee room, medicine cabinet and newer flooring. Back in the main cabin and across from the galley is a wonderfully large portside convertible U-shaped dinette that fits four comfortably, but can squeeze up to six. Add some folding chairs and you can fit another 1-2 folks for a great game of Crazy Eights. At night, the dinette converts to a comfortable double berth. The inside helm is starboard beyond the galley and features a Bentley adjustable cushioned swivel helm chair with arm rests. The expansive helm fits all the electronics you need with room for more. A flat-screen TV and DVD player are mounted from the ceiling just behind the helm seat for your entertainment. Down in the bow is an additional stateroom with a unique arrangement of a double berth and a single berth. If you are using this area as a liveaboard, this makes a great room for the kiddos and is nicely separated from the aft stateroom. Or you can remodel this area into an entertainment area or an office. An additional storage locker is located here, as well as other storage options and the vessel s second head with sink, potty, and shower. In 2010, Big Easy was outfitted with new sink fixtures in the galley and heads, as well as new 12v toilet fixtures. Seventy gallons of water, 20 gallons of hot water and a 40-gallon holding tank generously serve your onboard water needs. The interior of Big Easy is brightly lit with large windows and golden teak cabinetry and trim and parquet flooring throughout. She was also spruced up with new drapes and upholstery in 2010. For peace of mind, three new Costar carbon monoxide detectors were in added in 2010.

 On Deck:
Board Big Easy via her full width swim deck and a four wrung boarding ladder in the stern. Safety railing circles the entire circumference of the boat with a small break at the boarding ladder. If dogs or small children are a concern, affix a baby gate there for their safety. A 2010 refit including removing leaky decks. The stern deck may be small, but it is quite usable as a place to hang and fish with your friends and family. Two fish boxes with drains are set into the stern deck and pole holders and rocket launchers are welded to the railing in the stern, as well as in the bow. The wide side decks also give you plenty of space for dropping in extra lines. Three steps up from the main deck is the mid deck with anti-slip flooring and railing. This is an excellent location to store large equipment, a life raft capsule, small chest freezer or extra supplies. Up three more steps and you find yourself at the expansive flybridge. The helm is basic but has a lot of room to add a second set of electronics. The centerline captain s chair has adjacent bench seating the also serve as storage boxes. There is enough room up here to set up a patio table set or keep a couple of kayaks. The bimini canvass can be opened for shade or seagull protection. A custom pot puller mounts to her transom and swim deck for when you have a hankering for some crustacean.

 Engine and Mechanical:
If you like to sit and watch the world slowly drift by, life is easy on Big Easy. A lot of her mechanical systems were updated in 2010, including her engine controls, hydraulic steering, battery chargers, windlass, stern thruster and more. Check out the 2010 survey and read about the extensive care that was given to this beautiful vessel inside and out. Power is provided by her 1979 Ford Lehman diesel engine. With 2,100 hours on it, the engine was removed from the vessel, the top end torn down for internal inspection, a new heat exchanger for oil installed and the cooling water exchanger, injectors and reduction gear were rebuilt less than 10 years ago. Access her large, dry engine room via a hatch in the salon sole. She cruises at a leisurely 7-8 knots at 1,500 rpm and has a top speed of 8-9 knots. She carries a total of 320 gallons, uses about three gallons per hour, and has a range of 750 nautical miles. Fuel tanks are Aluminum and new during refit. Docking is made easy by utilizing her electric bow thruster and hydraulic stern thruster. Her four-blade propeller creates a nice, quiet ride. When you need to anchor, she has a claw-type 33-pound anchor on a Lewmar electric winch and 250 feet of chain. Has new Zinc's.

 Electrical and Electronics:
In 2010, Big Easy s owner saw her worth and loved her enough to update her 12v and 110v wiring. She was also outfitted with many new items, like a new Jabsco 5-inch remote controlled 12v spotlight, new windshield wipers, Xantrex 2500 watt inverter with two built-in Eco battery charger, Charles 30amp isolation transformer, and more. For navigation electronics, she comes with a Raymarine MFD GPS, plotter and radar, Raymarine autopilot and a four-inch Ritchie compass. For communications, you have a Raymarine Ray 54 VHF. She also has an entertainment package including a TV, DVD player and stereo system and speakers. At the dock, plug Big Easy into the 30 amp shore power.

 Notes and Extras:
Big Easy shows some wear, however, this beauty is darn good condition for her age. She has been very well maintained and has classic lines and will last a long time. Her bottom was redone in 2014 and a copy of her 2010 survey is available for you to read. See her today and dream of a wonderful life aboard her.
