TWO STATEROOMS, CUSTOM DECK ADDITION, PRICED TO SELL! Sundog is a steal of a deal. If you are looking for a great classic family trawler with lots of interior space, outstanding deck options, and one that is ready to enjoy today, this is your lady. At this price, she won t last long.

The starboard side deck door next to the interior helm is the primary entrance to the salon on Sundog. The interior is brightly lit by the ample amount of sun let in my her expansive windows. New nautical blue easy-to-clean upholstery at the large dinette and adjacent settee nicely sets off the white and teak wood trim interior. Across from the door is the vessel galley. Even when preparing meals, you won t miss a minute of the beautiful views passing by outside. The galley has everything you need to prepare a family meal, including a three-burner propane Force 10 stove/oven, a generous stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, a Grand Banks refrigerator, and plenty of storage and counter space. Adjacent to the dinette is an additional storage cabinet and on top of that is a home-sized microwave. The dinette has an expandable table and comfortable seating for five to six adults. Bring some folding chairs and you can add another two or three folks around the table. The settee seats three comfortably, or makes a great berth for a younger child. Down a few steps into the stern is one of two stateroom areas on Sundog. This one has a double bed, as well as a single bed, a hanging locker, drawers, and a roomy head with hand sink, full shower, a large mirror, generous counter space and a new toilet fixture. A small staircase lowers for easy access to an exit hatch. Forward from the salon is the v-berth stateroom with two seven-foot single beds, additional storage drawers and a petite second head with toilet and hand sink. Two water tanks, each holding 85 gallons, a 40-gallon holding tank and hot water serve all your on-board water needs while underway. The engine heater as well as Wasbco forced air diesel furnace, heat the interior nicely and window blinds add the nice touch of privacy and darkness on those sunny summer nights. For families, there is plenty of floor space for the kiddos to spread out some toys without getting underfoot.

 On Deck:
The current owner has added more than $8,000 in upgrades and improvements to Sundog over the past year, making her extra safe and comfortable for long voyages. Most notably, a special aluminum addition was installed right off the flybridge that covers the entire back half of the main deck with railing on the upper deck. This platform provides great covering for fishing in the rain or protection from the bright sun. It also makes a great area to store extra toys like kayaks and even becomes a 12-foot high diving platform for the ambitious swimmer. The flybridge is extremely spacious in its own right and has comfortable seating for up to six adults with plenty of room to add extra chairs, a chest freezer or a table. A bimini top can be opened to provide shade or shelter from seagulls overhead. When you initially come aboard Sundog, you can do so on either side or via the double wide grated swim deck. The full walk around deck has railing with hinged areas that you can open so passengers can safely pass through without having to duck or climb. The new rubber teak look-alike deck is extremely easy to maintain and doesn t compromise Sundog s nautical flavor. Storage areas on the main deck and up in the flybridge give you convenient places to tuck away loose items. At night or while at the dock, the flybridge canvass cover protects the entire helm and seating and the rail canvass will extend the life of your beautiful teak railing.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Twin diesel Perkins 6.354 six cylinder 135 horsepower engines with 3,500 hours on each of them provide the cruising power for Sundog. Cruising speed is 8 knots at 2,000 rpm. She totes 400 gallons of fuel in two aluminum fuel tanks. Using four gallons of fuel per hour, she has a nice long range of 1,000 miles. Her engines have A1 fuel hoses and copper fuel lines, fresh water cooling systems, wet injected exhaust systems, primary fuel filters by Racor and secondary filters, as well as lube oil filters. Both helms have cable throttle/shift controls by Morse and a chain and cable system to quadrant with emergency steering tiller.

 Electrical and Electronics:
Much of the additional upgrades on Sundog involved her electrical systems. She was installed with new engine wiring, a battery set for each motor and one for the house, and given new start batteries in 2017. Much of the old lighting fixtures and wiring was removed and replaced with LED fixtures. Sundog s main helm electronics include, a Raymarine Ray 54 VHF, a Danforth Constellation magnetic compass and a Raymarine C120 GPS, plotter, radar and depth sounder. New electric wipers were recently installed for the main helm and provide excellent windshield visibility during poor weather. The flybridge helm includes a Simrad CE33 GPS, plotter and depth sounder, a secondary Danforth magnetic compass, and a Ray 54 VHF handset. She also has a 50 amp Magna battery charger, alternator, and a 50 amp Magna inverter. Her forward facing spotlight comes in handy if you are docking at night or trying to find your shrimp pot in the dark. And when you want to tease the sea lions sunbathing along the coastal rocks, bark at them through your loudhailer. Maybe they ll bark back.

 Notes and Extras:
The Grand Banks 36 boat model has been so popular, they were constructed from 1965 all the way to 2004 This haul was the first year of fiberglass construction and is much thicker then the hauls of today. Sundog s owner has added to her charm with many upgrades and improvements, including a custom upper deck that adds a whole lot of useable deck space. Her hull below waterline was also recently painted in May 2014. Check out the owner s blog on all the upgrades at: The nine-foot Zebec aluminum-hulled inflatable dinghy also comes with this boating package. It attaches to the swim step with clips for stepping into the boat with no fear of falling into the water. Call today to see this popular classic boat in person!
