Interior:
While most of this boat s length is dedicated to its deck space, the interior is very comfortable and roomy enough for year-round family fishing and excursions. This gal is an easy overnighter for four, with her roomy v-berth and convertible dinette. A porta potty is concealed under the middle v-berth cushion. In the main cabin you have the dinette, with cushioned seating for four adults and four beverage holders as well. A nice air ride captain s chair is at the starboard helm. Behind the captain is a sink which is served by a 15-gallon water tank. Don t need a sink? Use the space for a handy appliance or extra gear storage. Sliding wide windows let fresh air in, but you ll still be warm with the Wallas forced air diesel furnace.
On Deck:
A huge self-bailing aft deck awaits you on this Sea Sport model, a fine fit for you and your friends or family. Storage pockets stretch along both the port and starboard gunnels and there are rocket launchers/equipment holders are all around the deck and along the radar arch. The arch and the flat cabin roof make this an excellent dinghy storage area. In the cockpit, the engine hatch is raised and makes a great seating area for resting tired backs and legs. The cockpit helm keeps the captain where the action is. Easily store your day s catch in the in-deck fish box. Non-skid surfacing covers most of the deck, including the side decks and the bow area. So if you need to follow that fish forward, your feet will remain steady beneath you. When the day is wrapping up, deck cleaning is made easy with the saltwater wash-down.
Engine and Mechanical:
This gal is powered by her original and well-respected Volvo TMAD41P 200 horsepower diesel engine with only 1,433 hours on it. Her three- and four-blade duoprop give her some excellent oomph when you want to get up and go. She has wet heat exchange exhaust and comes with spare props. Her two fuel tanks carry a total of 120 gallons of fuel. Hydraulic steering and Morse controls are at the main helm and in the cockpit. A lowerable auxiliary engine bracket is off the stern. Anchoring is easily done with the new Lone Star electric drum winch and 22-pound Lewmar anchor and chain.
Electrical and Electronics:
You are already nicely set up with the navigation and fish-finding electronics you need. Her integrated Garmin 1243xsv system includes the GPS, depth sounder and plotter. A new Fantom radar which is integrated with NMEA 2000 into the Garmin systems. She has a Garmin 743xsv radar and a Garmin VHF for communications. This boat has an alternator, and one start battery and two in the housebank. Boat Leveler trim tabs help keep her nose down when that duoprop kicks into action.
Notes and Extras:
A nice package! She also comes with a 2000 galvanized steel King tandem axle trailer with new electric brakes, bunks, side guides and a spare tire mount. This trailer recently got new 5,000-pound axles and new electric brake system. Sea Sports are popular among Alaska fishing recreationalists and this compact and easy-to-trailer model is a very good buy. What makes Sea Sports so popular? These boats are built for tough weather and tough seas. Knitted fiberglass and high-density foam core for all structure components make these boats stronger and lighter than much of the competition. This 24-footer is very well rounded and great for taking out your family and friends.
