• ENGINE & MECHANICAL Powered with Twin Volvo 3.9L 41P 200 HP inboard diesels coupled to Volvo DPE Duo-prop out-drives with approximately 1600 hours and $50K in recent engine and out-drive maintenance. (New stainless steel Volvo C3 duo-props in November of 2024) The out-drives were replaced in 2012 and have approximately 600 hours since replacement. Vessel top speed is 25 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 20 knots means long distance destinations can be reached in an expedited manner with 200 gallons of diesel in two 100 gallon tanks. 2023-2024 Maintenance & Repairs. Ocean Strider maintenance 2023-2024 done by In-Demand Marine and Seward Heavy. 2023 @ In-Demand Marine: Engines and out-drives removed, serviced, and engines repainted and replaced. Outdrive transom shields and shift cable replaced including reinforced tie bars. New trim rams, New hydraulic trim hoses, new steering assemblies, steering hoses, steering ram adjusted and outdrive potentiometers reset, both bellows replaced, and the outdrives were pressure tested and inspected. Both turbos were removed and rebuilt by Advanced Diesel in Anchorage. 2024@ Seward Heavy: Injectors removed and tested and both injection pumps were rebuilt by Advanced diesel in Anchorage. New Volvo Stainless steel c3 duo props.
• NOTES & EXTRAS Multi-Hull forums are full of rave reviews for the Zeta Catamaran.. April 23rd, 2024 survey available. Expired canister life raft and EPIRB with full set of new safely gear including life jackets, flares, and air horn. Once cruising for the day is done, use one of the two anchors to enjoy an overnight stay. A Lewmar anchor winch and one 100' 3/8" Chain and 300' Nylon and one 20' 3/8" Chain & 300' Nylon ground tackle secures the vessel. BOTH engines were newly painted and a NEWbottom paint and zincs were done in June of 2023
