Step into a vessel rich with history and built for the serious fisherman-this 1977 Uniflite power troller. Renowned for its durability, performance, and timeless design, this classic pocket troller is ready to embark on your next adventure.
Interior: | |
Step through the rear stainless steel split door and into the dry warm main cabin of Ruthie and the classic Olympic diesel stove will be the first think on your mind. Mounted on the starboard side just in front of the 2 hole sink, the dry diesel heat will soon become one of your favorite items on board. She is also equipped with a head with shower, a large L shaped settee and two large bunks forward. She also has a small wet locker, plenty of storage and a Norcold fridge.
On Deck: | |
The rear deck is spacious and well designed. She starts in the stern with a one man operated troll cockpit. Designed with main engine controls, electronics, and simple power gurdies. She also has a large fish hatch that can keep your catch cold or would also work as a live well for harvesting crab. There is ample room on the back deck or even the roof of the main cabin to store gear.
Engine and Mechanical:
Ruthie is powered by a very reliable 71 series Detroit Diesel engine. She has around 66 HP at 1200 RPM and 97 HP at 2000 RPM. She pushes Ruthie along at 7-8 knots while only burning around 3.5 gallons per hour. The actual hours are unknown, but it is apparent that she has had a fresh rebuild. The main engine has a power take off for running the hydraulic gurdies and the Thompson anchor wench.
Electrical and Electronics:
This Uniflite has a full arsenal of new electronics that have been partially installed. The new Furuno GPS/Sounder/Radar unit still has the protective film on the main screen. She also has a new auto pilot, a second Furuno radar unit and 2 Cobra VHF's. Most of the vessel has been re wired and is waiting for the install of 2 new large cell deep cycle batteries that are aboard.
