This gilnetter is armed with a full set of electronics. At the main helm she has a Sitex Radar, Standard Horizon GPS map unit, a Furuno sounder and a Comnav auto pilot. Access to her engines is easily through pilothouse deck hatches. Quest is nicely powered by her two rebuilt 1995 Yanmar 3JH2 38.7 horsepower diesel engines. They cruise at six knots and have 2,373 and 2424 rebuilt hours on them from their 2012 rebuild. She has two aluminum fuel tanks which hold a total of 316 gallons of diesel and she utilizes about one gallon of fuel per hour, making her range a nice 350 nautical miles and up to 650 miles at 6 knots @ 2000 rpms, between refuels. Owner says you can drop down to one engine and you can stretch that to 1260 mile range. She has three-blade feathering propellers and wet heat exchange exhaust, Quadrant steering and wheel controls. Anchoring is done with her Lofrans 1500 electric winch and 200 feet of chain and 200 feet of line with a 30kg Bruce claw anchor. She comes with a 75-pound CQR anchor as well.


ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS
This beauty plugs into 30-amp shore power when at the dock. She has a Magnum 2000 inverter, a ProStar 30 battery charger, and a Hitachi 55-amp alternator. intimate atmosphere. A starboard side door takes you to the side deck. Forward on starboard, a dinette with an L-shaped bench has room for additional seating. The dinette lies across from the vessel s substantial galley, one which rivals many homes. A four-burner Tappan gas range is topped with a microwave and surrounded by expansive Corian countertops. The galley also has a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator, trash compactor and an extra large two-basin sink. There is a great amount of storage and a unique place for everything from spices to wine glasses, dishes to pantry items. From this point, a set of stairs takes you upstairs to the bridge and downstairs to the berthing quarters. A scuttle opening on the foredeck takes you to a stairwell which leads to the crew quarters, which has its own head. Upstairs in the bridge, the centerline helm has a 360-degree view and a movable cushioned captain s stool with arm and foot rests. Wing doors on either side of the pilothouse lead to the side decks.

Kirawan has all types of deck spaces that add a lot of versatility to her exterior. Her forward
deck is roomy and is a great space to store gear like crab pots or coolers, fish from this space, or set up chairs for a nice sightseeing cruise. A 50-gallon fresh water tank, six-gallon hot water tank, and 9.5 gallon holding tank serve your galley and septic needs. The galley is forward and has a two-burner Wallas stove, single basin sink, nice-sized Nova Kool refrigerator, lots of storage and a good amount of counterspace. Next is the inside helm. The cushioned Wave Rider suspension pedestal captain s chair is on a raised platform which houses a storage drawer. Across on port when entering the cabin is a convenient hanging area for coats, survival suits, wet clothes and the like. A raised four-person dinette is forward. It seats four for meals and sleeps two at night. Oodles of drawer space is below the floor platform. A companion Wave Rider helm seat is forward and additional storage is below it as well. In the bow, you have a large berth that sleeps two together with the center cushion in place, or create two separate berths or seating areas by moving the center cushion. A Peter Brady design out of Australia, this cruiser was built for her current owner by well-known John Shaw in Westport, WA. These boats have a good reputation as strong seaworthy boats with offset engines and all the sail controls brought back to the helm, now a common feature among newer sailboats. NEW IN WRANGEL! The owner of this 1973 Luhrs has spent the last 19 years refitting , upgrading and improving everything on the vessel. The only thing that is from 1972 is the hull and cabin! Starting with twin Cummins that were in the crate and now only have 1500 hours. You can operate the vessel from the bridge, main cabin, and back deck with Mathers micro-command , hynautic steering and autopilot. The bridge has a full electronics package that includes a monitor made by solarism that can be seen in direct sunlight. There is also a bench seat that can convert to a bunk. The main cabin has a sofa that converts to a bunk as well a a 4 person dinette that not only converts to a short double bunk for children but it can be lifted to gain access under the floor to V-drives, inverter and a battery.
